Sub-Workspace Settings – Saving Changes

As a sub-workspace admin, you can make and review updates on the settings page before deciding when to apply them. This helps you avoid accidental changes and reduces unnecessary server requests.

How it works:

  1. Local Change Storage
    1. Most field changes are saved locally as you edit, rather than being sent to the server right away.
    2. This includes edits to names, permissions, and expiration dates.

Applying or Reverting Changes

  1. Save
    1. Clicking Save sends all pending updates in a single request.
    2. Once saved, changes are applied and stored in the system.
  2. Discard
    1. Clicking Discard cancels all unsaved edits and reverts fields to their previous values.

Unsaved Changes Warning

  1. If you try to navigate away while there are unsaved changes, a prompt appears asking you to Save or Discard.
  2. If there are no unsaved changes, you can navigate freely without seeing a confirmation message.

Immediate Actions

Some actions are always applied right away and are not included in the local save/discard flow:
  1. Changes to Mirrored Projects
  2. Blocking or unblocking a workspace
These updates are sent immediately to the server when you make them.
Idea
Tip: Use the Save and Discard buttons regularly to control when changes take effect and avoid unintentional updates.
