Rename a Sub-Workspace
As an Admin or Owner of a Channel Workspace, you can edit the display name of any sub-workspace to keep your workspace names accurate and up to date.
How it works:
- The top section of the page shows the current workspace name.
- Clicking the name enables editing:
- The field becomes active, pre-filled, and focused.
- The entire current name is highlighted for easy replacement.
- Actions:
- Update
Closes the dialog.
Saves the new workspace name to the Backoffice.
Displays a success toast message: “Name has been updated successfully.”
Closes the dialog without saving changes.
The Workspace name - character limits and rules:
- Maximum of 24 characters.
- Spaces count toward the total.
- If you paste text longer than 24 characters, only the first 24 are inserted.
- Allowed characters include:
- Letters A–Z (both uppercase and lowercase)
- Numbers 0–9
- Spaces
- Symbols: , . ( ) [ ] : ; " ! ? / & * + - _ = © ™ ® @
Invalid characters trigger an immediate warning message.
A real-time character counter above the field updates as you type.
You cannot enter more than 24 characters.
