Remote Assist is a real-time collaboration platform designed for technical support and training. It uses instant video and AR (Augmented Reality) annotations to allow remote experts to guide field users with high precision.
Key Capabilities
Real-Time AR: Overlay digital instructions onto physical machinery via a mobile device or headset.
Expert Guidance: Connects off-site specialists to on-site technicians instantly.
Precision: Designed to reduce errors and increase repair/training speed compared to standard video calls.
Remote Support is frontline.io's integrated service that provides users with the capability to contact field experts across the globe and share their current experiences.
Using a mix of video interaction, screen sharing capability, and 3D drawing tools, users can be quickly guided into finding solutions without the need of in person assistance.
The onboarding process is divided into four functional chapters:
1 - Remote Dashboard: The primary interface for administrators and experts. Used for starting and scheduling sessions and managing user access.
2 - Join a Meeting: The workflow for entering an active session. Focuses on connectivity and speed to ensure experts can assist the moment they are needed.
3 - Meeting Dashboard: The "in-call" interface. Provides the live tools necessary to manage camera feeds, audio, and session controls during a support call.
4 - Remote Assist Annotations: The core collaborative feature. Allows users to place virtual markers (arrows, notes) directly onto the physical environment to "show" rather than "tell."
