Remote Assist 1.4: Annotations

Remote Assist 1.4: Annotations

Beyond basic video, Remote Assist includes high-definition capture and AR drawing tools to bridge the gap between the expert and the field.

AR Annotation Tools

To use these, open the other participant's video in full-screen and click the Arrow Icon at the top.

  • Drawing Tool: Sketch freely on captured surfaces. Starting a sketch automatically pauses the video to ensure accuracy.

  • Beacon Tool: Places a pulsing circle to highlight a general area.

  • Marker Tool: Places numbered arrows. The numbering helps sequence steps in a technical process.

  • Annotation Controls: * Pause: Manually freeze the video to place markers precisely.

    • Color: Toggle between colors to distinguish different instructions.

    • Undo/Trash: Remove the last action or clear all annotations at once.

Enhanced Visibility & Accessibility
  • Request HD: Click the "Request HD" button to pause the stream and pull a high-resolution still image. This image can be saved locally for documentation.

  • Closed Captions:

    • Setup: Click the CC button and select your language via the gear icon.

    • Requirement: Your microphone must be unmuted for the system to generate captions.

    • Mobile: Access via the "More" (...) menu > Show Captions.
