Introducing the Share Feature for Digital Twins, Procedures, and Media Elements

Updated over a week ago

Introduction

We are excited to announce a new feature in the 23.2 app version that will revolutionize the way you collaborate. With this update, we have introduced the ability to share digital twins, procedures, and media elements directly within the meeting chat window. This guide will walk you through the steps to get started with this feature, making communication and sharing even more convenient and efficient.

Getting Started

To begin sharing digital twins, procedures, and media elements during a meeting, open the chat window. You will notice a new paper clip button, which serves as the gateway to attaching and sharing items. By clicking on the paper clip, a menu will appear, presenting two sections: the left section displays all your workspace projects and favorite items folders, while the right section shows the content within those folders.

To share an item, simply click on the desired project and choose the specific item you want to share. Once selected, click on the blue send button to initiate the sharing process. It's important to note that each item will have a unique icon associated with it, allowing you to quickly identify its type.

Here are the icons and their respective item representations:

  1. Connected dots icon: This icon signifies a procedure.

  2. Framed box icon: This icon represents a digital twin.

  3. Film strip icon: This icon indicates media elements, such as images, videos, and documents.

Remember, only published items will be available for sharing. So, before attempting to send any items, ensure that you have published them within the web app.

Conclusion

The addition of the new sharing feature in the 23.2 app version brings enhanced collaboration and communication capabilities to your fingertips. By being able to share digital twins, procedures, and media elements directly within the meeting chat window, you can streamline your workflows, boost productivity, and facilitate seamless knowledge exchange with your co-workers and customers.
