Digital Twin View Cube

New View Cube for Faster Camera Orientation
Currently available on PC, with upcoming releases on iOS and Android.
Modules: Digital Twin Viewer & Editor

Introducing the View Cube – a powerful new camera control feature now available in the Digital Twin Viewer and Editor. Designed with both field technicians and content editors in mind, the View Cube makes it easier than ever to reorient your view, navigate complex scenes, and switch between 3D and orthographic perspectives—all with a click.
The View Cube is a compact, interactive tool placed non-intrusively in the top-right corner of the viewer/editor, providing intuitive access to standard camera angles and view modes.

Key Features:
  1. Instant Camera Orientation:
    1. Click on faces, edges, or corners of the cube to rotate the camera to:
      1. Front, Back, Top, Bottom, Left, or Right views
  2. Smooth Transitions:
    1. Camera moves seamlessly with easing animation for a fluid experience

  1. Integrated Tools:
    1. Move, Rotate, and Select tools are now docked inside the cube UI for faster access

Perspective & Orthographic Modes
You can now toggle between:
  1. Perspective Mode (default 3D view with depth)
  2. Orthographic Mode (flat, parallel projection ideal for technical inspection)
Switching between modes triggers a smooth animated transition, maintaining your visual context

Context-Aware Functionality
The View Cube and mode toggle are smartly designed to only appear when relevant:
Active when:
  1. You're in the Digital Twin viewer or Editor
  2. No procedure is open
  3. You're not in AR mode
This ensures the interface remains clean and focused on the task.

Currently available on PC, with upcoming releases on iOS and Android.

Why It Matters
This release is built for speed, accuracy, and ease of use. Whether you're in the field troubleshooting machinery or managing Digital Twins at your workstation, the new filtering system ensures you spend less time searching—and more time solving.

Known Issues

  1. 3D Interactive Flows
    1. Unlock View Option (Player Option): If the current animation displays tools, they will be hidden when this action is performed.
  2. Animation Builder
    1. Hiding a part and then animating its parent at a later node causes the hidden part to become visible again.
