Key Highlights:
Adaptive Procedure Layouts
AI Chat: Knowledge Base Search
| Feature | Summary | Platforms | Who it affects |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adaptive Procedure Layouts | Procedure step card repositions automatically based on screen orientation and size | PC, Android, iOS | All Users |
| AI Chat: Knowledge Base Search | Search and retrieve knowledge base items directly from within the AI Chat | PC, Android, iOS | All Users |
The procedure step card now adapts its layout automatically based on the device's screen size and orientation, ensuring the best use of available screen space regardless of how the app is being used.
Key Highlights:
Landscape / Wide Screens: On 3D procedures in landscape or wide-screen mode, the step card anchors to the top-left corner and includes a draggable resize handle, giving users control over how much of the 3D view is visible.
Portrait / Narrow Screens: On 2D procedures and portrait or narrow-screen layouts, the step card anchors to the bottom-centre of the screen for a clean, thumb-friendly experience.
Dynamic Switching: The layout switches automatically when the device is rotated or the window is resized, with no interruption to the procedure.
Width Persistence: Any width the user sets by dragging the resize handle is preserved if the orientation changes within the same layout mode.
Screen Boundary Enforcement: The step card will never exceed the screen bounds, and on very small screens the minimum width clamps to the available screen width rather than overflowing.
Users can now search and retrieve relevant knowledge base content directly from within the AI Chat in the app. The feature integrates naturally into the existing AI Chat interface, allowing users to find the information they need without leaving their current context.
Key Highlights:
In-App Knowledge Search: Query the workspace knowledge base from within the AI Chat using natural language.
Relevant Results: Search results are displayed clearly and are relevant to the query, surfacing the most useful knowledge base items.
Consistent Experience: The feature matches the existing app design and performance standards, integrating seamlessly into current AI Chat workflows.
Note: Media attachment is not included in this release. Knowledge base search returns text-based results only.
Hide/Show Step Toggle: Toggling the Hide/Show Step button in landscape mode causes the UI to change size unexpectedly.
Warning Popup Visibility: When a procedure step contains attached media, the header and description of warning popups are obscured in landscape mode.
2D Procedure Multi-Media Steps: UI errors can occur for 2D procedures when entering a step containing more than one media item in landscape mode.
2D Procedure Step Box Overlap: In landscape mode for 2D procedures, the step header box partially overlays the media player, obscuring content.
Digital Twin Icons & Searching: The AI Assistant search results refers to Digital Twins as Procedures and displays a Procedure icon instead of the Digital Twin icon. The correct Digital Twin content still loads.
