frontline.io Version 24.4: Release Notes (Web)
Introduction
We’re pleased to announce the release of frontline.io Web version 24.4! This update focuses on enhancing content creation within frontline.io, offering a more streamlined and efficient experience for (Advanced) Content Creators. Key improvements include updates to the Interactive Flow Builder and the Animation Manager, enabling easier editing, duplication, and organization of animations.
Stay tuned for more improvements to content creation tools in upcoming releases of frontline.io!
Interactive Flow Builder
(Advanced) Content Creators
Content creators can now edit both the header and description in a single field, reducing clicks and simplifying the content creation process. One rich text editor for header and description.
Adding a Header or Description to a Node:
- Double-clicking a node opens the redesigned rich text editor, allowing you to edit both the header and description in one go.
- Clicking "Save" in the text editor will update both fields.
The header text field will open the text editor for editing.
Pasting into the Text Box:
- When pasting into the header: The first line will go to the header, and all remaining lines will go to the description.
- When pasting into the description: All lines will be added to the description field.
Multiple Node editing:
- Selecting multiple nodes and editing a text field will apply the changes to all selected nodes.
- If the header is edited, the update will apply to all selected nodes' headers.
- If the description is edited, the update will apply to all selected nodes' descriptions.
Animation manager
(Advanced) Content Creators

Accessing the Animation Manager: From the Digital Twin (Web), open the editor to manage animations.
Key Updates
- UI Enhancements: Improved interface for a more intuitive experience
- Duplicate Animations: Easily duplicate existing animations for quicker editing
- Improved Hierarchy: The animation hierarchy is now clearer and more understandable
Duplicate Animations:
In the context menu of the animation builder, a "Duplicate" option will now be available.
- When duplicating, the new animation will appear directly beneath the original in the list, even if the current sorting logic doesn't typically apply.
- Upon refreshing the window, the new animation will be positioned according to the selected sorting logic.
- The duplicated animation will have the same name as the original, with " (Duplicate)" added to the end.
- The new animation will retain all attributes of the original, including the model’s last edited state.
- Once duplicated, the new animation is completely independent from the original—changes made to one will not affect the other.

Folder Hierarchy Logic:
The folder hierarchy in the Animation Manager is organized as follows:
- There will be two root folders:
- The first root folder will be named "Animation Manager":
- This folder will only contain animations created using the Animation Builder.
- It will be displayed as the top folder in the tree section and cannot be moved.
- By default, it will be selected and expanded to one level down when the Animation Manager window is opened.
- The second root folder will be named "3D Studio Animations":
- This folder will only contain animations created through the SDK.
- It will only appear in the tree if it contains items. For instance, if a customer does not use the SDK, this folder will not be displayed.
- This folder also cannot be moved, and when selected, the "Create New Folder/Animation" buttons will not be available.

Info
Users cannot move or create an Animation Builder animation inside the 3D Studio Animations folder, and vice versa.
Users cannot create or move folders at the same "level" as the root folders.
Only folders containing subfolders will display a chevron icon for expansion.
Create New Folder and Animation Buttons
The "Create New Item" button in the Animation Builder has been split into two separate buttons:
- Create New Animation
- Create New Folder
Both buttons are now positioned at the top of the animation list section, just under the breadcrumbs (previously where the single button was).

These buttons will not be displayed when the "3D Studio Animations" folder is selected.
The functionality remains the same: when creating a new folder or animation, it will be created in the folder currently selected by the user.

Note:
• Currently, the drag-and-drop functionality for folders is not available.
• When renaming an animation, the old name cannot be reused.
Bug Fixes
- Guests viewing the Digital Twin (PPC) can now access the available Spare Parts within the Digital Twin.
- When navigating in the Interactive Flow using the Go-To Node, the Text-to-Speech (TTS) executes the assigned Interactive Flow in the appropriate language.
