Introduction:

We're excited to introduce the new settings window in our frontline app (from release version 24.1). This central hub allows you to customize various features, including interface scale, audio, video settings, captions for remote support, and much more.

Getting started

Simply open the app and access the settings window by clicking on the options button in the top right corner. Choose "App Settings" to explore and adjust your preferences. You can also access the settings menu from the Digital Twin scene and the Remote Support meeting dashboard.

General Tab

What's in the General tab?

  • Show unpublished items in the knowledgebase - this function allows you to see digital twins/procedures that haven't been published yet.

  • Application Information such as app version and frame rate

  • Clear Cache - if you want to clean the cache of the app due to an issue, you can do it from here.

3D Environment Tab

What's in the 3D Environment tab?

  • Show tooltips when hovering on parts - this will affect the digital twin scene

  • Scrolls for the Zoom, Rotation, and Pan sensitivity inside the digital twin scene.

  • Selection color for the parts - by default, it comes in blue, you can change it.

  • Graphics - choose between Low, Medium, and High. This will impact on the performance of the app.

Appearance Tab

What's in the Appearance Tab?

  • User interface Scale - scale up and down the menus.

  • Enable dark mode (beta) - dark mode for the app.

Audio and Video Tab

What's in the Audio and Video Tab?

  • Change your Camera and Microphone Inputs

  • Change your Video background for the remote support.

Captions and Transcript Tab

What's in the Captions and Transcript Tab?

You can change your preferred language for the Closed captions in this tab

Account Tab

What's in the Account Tab?

  • Change workspaces from here if you are collaborating in more than one.

  • The manage button sends you to the frontline web to access your profile page.

  • Logout the app

Give us Feedback

At the top of the settings app, you'll find the "Give Us Feedback" button.

Within this window, we actively encourage you to reach out with any feedback, requests, or issues you may be experiencing.

Additionally, you can attach media files up to 10 MB to provide a more detailed context to your message. Your input is invaluable in helping us improve your experience with the app.
