Undo (with ctrl+Z) parts selection with right click. Any time you navigate and select a different part\assembly, you can go back to previous selection by pressing "ctrl+Z"

Pressing "Shift+Click" on eye icon in parts catalog will isolate the selected part\assembly. Same action again will reverse the isolation.
