Overview

The new Static QR Code feature allows workspace admins to generate and manage QR codes within the workspace management area. These QR codes can be used to quickly access specific links, resources, or content within the platform. This feature is available starting from frontline.io Web Release 25.2


Feature Highlights

Workspace managers can now create, edit, and manage static QR codes for a variety of uses, including:

Knowledge base items for quick access to support materials
External web links to direct users to any online resource
Customizable destinations for flexible content linking

A sortable and searchable list allows for easy management and retrieval of QR codes, ensuring seamless access to critical information in the field.

Accessing the Static QR Code Feature

  1. Navigate to Workspace Management - Log in as an admin and go to the Workspace Management section.

  2. Create a New QR Code - Click the "Create new QR code" button to generate a new QR code.

Creating a Static QR Code

  1. Click "Create new QR code".

  2. A dialog box will appear asking for a QR Name (e.g., "Product Guide" or "Support Page").

  3. Enter the name and click "Create".


  4. The new QR code will appear in the list with an editable Destination URL.

  5. Click the Destination URL field to enter the link.

  6. Click "Save Link" to finalize the QR code.

Managing QR Codes

  • Editing a QR Code: Click on the name or destination field to modify the QR code details.

  • Downloading the QR Code: Click on the QR code icon to open a preview. Use the "Download" button to save the QR code image.

  • Deleting a QR Code: Click the trash icon next to a QR code to remove it.

  • Sorting & Searching: Use the search bar and sorting options to quickly find specific QR codes.

  • Static and Permanent: The generated QR codes remain constant unless deleted or modified.
