Interactive Flows - Language Management
Updated over a week ago

frontline.io provides the flexibility to display flows in various languages. The flow viewer can choose the language that is most relevant to them. To enable different languages, the content creator must activate the pertinent languages for that specific flow by making the appropriate selections. This article will guide you through the process.

Language Management

Upon selecting the "Language Options" button in the Interactive Flow Builder, a window will appear, presenting the following options:

  • Add languages

  • Manage current languages

Add Languages

  1. Access Language Options

  2. Download the current state

An Excel file will be downloaded with the default language flow.

  3. In the Excel file, choose the appropriate language in the corresponding column and input the translated text.

  4. Select "Add Languages"

  5. Clicking on the "Add Languages" button will open a lightbox.

Note: Clicking outside the lightbox is equivalent to clicking "Cancel."

The list of languages displayed comprises those that have not yet been added to the flow.

6. Choose the relevant language and click the "Add" button to incorporate the selected languages into the flow.

Choose Text

  1. If the default text needs to be inherited, select "Copy Text" from the current default language to the chosen languages.

  2. Upload the Excel file with translated text if the specific language Flow requires new text.

The Excel column with the relevant language will be uploaded to the corresponding Language Flow option.

  3. Selecting the corresponding language in the Flow will display the flow with the newly uploaded language.

The specific language Flow can be edited for both text and media.

Refer to the article on adding media to a specific language Flow for more information: Interactive Flow Builder: Dynamic Language Flows

Note: Uploading the Excel file will override any changes made in the default Flow and in the other existing language Flows after downloading the Current State Excel.

Modify Languages

This section will encompass a list of all languages previously included in the specific procedure.

  1. The default language will be listed first, and default languages are non-editable.

  2. Each language in the list will feature a toggle button that determines whether that specific language will be visible and selectable to users executing the procedure after publishing.

Additional Options:

  1. Set as Default: Selecting this option will designate the chosen language as the primary language in the list. The Flow will be displayed in this language by default before users select a different language.

    • After confirmation, the made changes will be reflected in the language window.

  2. Delete: This option removes the selected language.
