Remote Support - Dashboard Explained

Remote Support - Dashboard Explained

Introduction

Remote Support is a feature available in frontline.io that allows users to receive interactive assistance for maintenance and support tasks.

In addition to text-based guidance for procedures, Remote Support in frontline.io also allows for video calls with technicians. This means that users can communicate with technicians face-to-face and receive more personalized assistance.

This feature helps to reduce the need for on-site assistance, which can save time and resources.

Navigating through the Remote Support feature for the first time can be a bit overwhelming, but don't worry - with the right guidance, it can become a breeze. In this explanation, we'll go over some helpful tips on how to efficiently navigate through the Remote Support feature.

Remote Support Dashboard

Welcome to the Remote Support main screen!
This is where you can access all the features you need to join, create, and schedule your remote support calls. From here, you can easily connect with coworkers, technicians, or field operators to get the help you need, whenever you need it.

Start Meeting

To start a meeting, simply click on the "Start Meeting" button and you will be taken to the Support Call window. From there, you can begin your meeting and get the help you need.

Join Meeting

If a meeting has already started, or if you have the Meeting ID, simply click on the "Join Meeting" icon. This will bring up a text box where you can enter the Meeting ID and join the existing meeting.

Call Device

Every device has its own unique ID, which you can find at the top of the Remote Support Dashboard. If you know the ID of the coworker you want to talk to, simply enter it into your device and you can call them directly.

Schedule Meeting

If you need to schedule a meeting in advance, click on the "Schedule Meeting" button. From there, you can choose a start date and time, as well as the duration of the meeting. This can help you plan ahead and ensure that everyone is available when the meeting starts.

Workspace Users and Scheduled Meetings Tabs

On the top right and left of the screen, you will see two small arrows. Clicking on these arrows will open the Workspace Users and Scheduled Meetings tabs

Workspace Users Tab

Here, you will find a list of all users who have access to the current workspace, from technicians to field operators. To call someone, simply click on the phone icon next to their name and you will be taken to a meeting room.

Scheduled Meetings Tab

After scheduling a meeting using the "Schedule Meeting" button, you can view all your planned meetings in the Scheduled Meetings tab. If you click on the three dots next to an existing meeting, a small menu will appear.

View/Edit

Clicking on "View/Edit" will bring up the same window as the "Schedule Meeting" button, allowing you to make changes to your meeting if needed.

Copy Invite Info

Clicking on "Copy Invite Info" will copy the meeting link, ID, and password to your clipboard, which you can then send to others.

Google Calendar

If you click on "Google Calendar," you can add the meeting to your Google calendar to help you stay organized and ensure that you don't miss any important meetings.

Allows you to delete the meeting.

Conclusion

After learning about all the main features of the Remote Support dashboard, you're now ready to start collaborating with your coworkers, schedule meetings and get the technical support you need.
