Mixed Reality - Knowledge Base

Introduction

Finishing the installation process and logging into the App, will allow you to enter different sections of the App, Knowledge Base, Remote Support, and Immersive Room.

In this guide, we will introduce to you the Knowledge Base.

Knowledge Base Introduction

If you are already familiar with the Knowledge Base section in the frontline.io app, feel free to skip this brief introduction and proceed to the next section in this article.

The Knowledge Base is a vital component of the App where you can explore various projects, digital twins, and Interactive Flows based on your assigned role.

You can choose and interact with various Digital Twins and access a range of Interactive Flows, covering everything from overviews to maintenance tasks. It serves as a centralized resource to support your work and improve productivity. Explore the Knowledge Base to access valuable information and enhance your understanding of projects and processes.

Knowledge Base in the Mixed Reality app

When you access the Knowledge Base in the App, you'll find a button that leads you to choose a project. Depending on your access privileges, you may have one or multiple projects available to you.

Upon selecting a project, you'll see a thumbnail, a description(if available), and a Launch button. Inside the project, the left part of the window displays various visibility filters that impact the right side of the window.

  • "All" shows everything within the project.

  • "Procedures" displays only the Interactive Flows.

  • "Digital Assets" presents the Digital Twins associated with the project.

  • "Media" showcases different media elements such as pictures, videos, and documents.

The folder structure in the Knowledge Base resembles what you are familiar with from your operating system. Navigating into a folder may lead you to another, depending on the project's folder structure.

To go back, simply press the Back button located in the right corner of the screen.

Interacting with Interactive Flows

In the Mixed Reality app, similar to other platforms, you have the option to choose between 2D and 3D interactions. The distinction lies in how the Interactive Flows are presented.

2D Interactive Flows, are displayed as presentations within the app. You can navigate through slides or pages to access the information and instructions.

On the other hand, when opting for 3D Interactive Flows, you will embark on a more immersive experience. This involves loading the Digital Twin, which may require object anchoring. Once the Digital Twin is loaded and anchored, you can interact with it and explore the various Flows associated with it.
